Cosy log cabin for winter & summer holidays in the mountains
The Sauerlacher Hütte is a cosy, detached wellness log cabin with 120 m² of living space on a south-facing slope at 1800 m above sea level. It is suitable for 2 to 8 (max. 10) people and is very family-friendly. Large dining/living room, extended to the roof with large south-facing balcony and extended west-facing terrace.
Our prices are inclusive (except electricity, local tax and optional bed linen). Other houses charge extra for cleaning, wood, water/waste water and rubbish bag fees!
The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped.
There are 3 bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with bunk beds and the third with a double bed and sofa bed (i.e. for 2 adults and 2 children). A dormitory for 2-3 people can be reached via a staircase in the bunk room and is ideal for children from 5 - 16.
There are 2 bathrooms, the upper bathroom was completely redesigned in 2022, at ground level with a wonderful rain shower.
Downstairs there is a whirlpool bath and a sauna with relaxation room.
Further facilities: washing machine, tumble dryer, baby cot, high chair, 3 LCD TVs, CD/DVD player and WLAN. Heating is provided by a modern, cosy tiled stove and 2 individually controllable pellet stoves in the basement. Electric radiators may also be used, but these usually only serve as frost guards.
The terrace was extended to the west in 2023 so that you can still enjoy the sun in the evening.
Ski lifts are 700 m away.
You can hike directly from the hut.
The hut is accessible by car (snow chains in winter). Parking 50 metres away.
Good service on site. Breakfast service from Kärntner Haus.
Please bring your own bed linen and towels. Mattress dimensions 90 X 200 cm.
Bed linen and towel set can also be ordered in advance from the manager for €15 per person, payable on site.
