Winter hiking in the national park

Winter hiking trails

Heidi Alm Bergresort offers two idyllically situated and groomed hiking paths.
Guests can either walk along the 6 km high-altitude trail (please be considerate when hiking and walk along the side of the trail so as not to disrupt the groomed tracks). The start/finish of our high-altitude trail is at the ski lifts, right above Kinderhotel Schneekönig. Leading across a beautiful sun-bathed slope ("Schweinebichl"), winter hikers are offered a scenic terrain to enjoy the gentle, quiet aspects of nature. The second hiking path leads from Hotel Schneekönig towards Zirmachlift, continues to Zirbenhütte hut and through the Heidi Alm children adventure park back to Hotel Schneekönig. Alternatively, you may also walk from the Zirbenhütte hut towards the lake and from there back to your starting point. Both trails can also be hiked in the opposite direction.

Snowshoe hiking in the national park

Snowshoe hiking to the most remote corners of the Nockberge national park and its surrounding mountain landscape will not be less inspiring for sure. Snowshoes are also available for hire at the Ski and Sportschule Falkert which also offers guided hikes.
